CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's soccer team could not stop the Cortland attack on Saturday, falling 7-0. Cortland struck three times in the first half, beginning in the 16th minute to cruise to the win.

The Devils were out shot, 25-12, including 13-4 in shots on goal. Dani Rubino made four saves and gave up six goals, and Abby Szymkowiak played the final 22 minutes, stopping two shots and allowing one goal. Kristen Spendal and Nicole Blazo combined for four saves and the shutout for the Red Dragons.

The Devils fall to 3-4-1 and 0-2 in the SUNYAC. Cortland improves to 5-2-1 and 1-0 in the conference.
