FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Katie Sellers scored Fredonia State's first three goals, and would later add a fourth as the Devils routed Buffalo State, 7-2, in SUNYAC women's soccer action on Wednesday evening. Her performance overshadowed Gabby Irwin's four-assist day.

Sellers scored twice inside the first 10 minutes -- her first goal assisted by Irwin and second by Maddy Payne.

Buffalo State slowed the momentum, scoring at the 18:34 mark to make it 2-1. Less tha 20 seconds later, Sellers struck for her third goal of the game. Buffalo State's Kaylee Valentic and Fredonia State's Bronwyn Madden would each add scores for their teams before the half ended with the Devils up, 4-2.

The Devil defense would clamp down and dominate the second half, while the offense added three more scores. Sellers, Bri Grazen, and Madden would all add goals. Madden's goal came on a penalty kick. Jordan Barrett added an assist to the Blue Devil attack.

The Devils improve to 4-4-1 overall and 1-2 in the SUNYAC. Buffalo State drops to 5-3-1 and 0-3. 

The Devils also pick up two points in the Lake Erie Cup, the all-sports, traveling trophy between the two Western New York rivals.
