FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State softball team dropped two games to No. 25 ranked University of Rochester on Tuesday. Game 1 ended 12-1 in favor of the Yellowjackets, and Game 2 ended with a 10-1 final.

The Devils were held to just two hits as Emily Sharlach tossed a complete game for Rochester.
Emily Chelius and
Allie Wandell had the Fredonia State hits. Chelius started on the mound, going four innings.
Erin Cunningham and
Vanessa Galbraith combined to throw the final inning.
Game 2
Rochester held a slim 2-0 lead before scoring four runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to claim the win.
Starting pitcher
Mack Celauro gave up an unearned run in the first and a run in the third. After a scoreless fourth, the Yellowjackets rallied for four runs in the fifth to chase her from the game. Galbraith would toss the final inning-and-a-third.
Lexi Wulf grounded out with the bases loaded in the fifth to plate the Devils' only run. They could not extend the rally with a base hit.
Megan Guidry had two of the Devils' six hits.
The Devils return home on Friday and Saturday with SUNYAC doubleheaders versus Geneseo and Brockport.
