Fredonia State Routs Keuka

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team would score big in second half to earn their third win of the season over Keuka College with a final score of 20-5. 

Cailin Karalus would show up big for the Devils scoring five goals. Erin Woods and Julie Culver each would score three goals with Noelle Mendez, Camryn Jacobs and Sydney Buchko adding two goals as well. In total nine players would score for the Blue Devils.

Fredonia State would come out hot to start the game with Jacobs scoring two strait goals. Cailin Karalus would find the back of the net off a pass from Woods to go up 3-0. After a quick two scores from Keuka late in the first, the Wolves would draw within one score. 

This would  be as close as Keuka would get as the Devils began to take control of the game with three strait goals scored throughout the second quarter. Going into the half the Devils pushed their lead to 6-3. 

The second half was all Fredonia as the Devils jumped  Keuka scoring five strait goals to build their lead to 11-4 with eight minutes remaining in the third.

The Blue Devils would continue their scoring pace with eight strait goals throughout the rest of the third and into the fourth to cruise to victory. 

Woods, Guariglia and Cailin Karalus led the Devils with two ground balls apiece. Buchko also had a game-high 15 draw controls.

The Devils improve to 4-1 on the season and will head to Panama City Beach Florida for a pair of games in the 25th annual Spring Fling lacrosse event. Fredonia State will first play Nazareth College on Monday, March 13 at 8 p.m. central time.
