PLATTSBURGH N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team lost at Plattsburgh Friday by a final score of 71-60.
Renee Park led the Devils with thirteen points and four rebounds, and
Laurell Brown had twelve points.
Molly Stephens would lead all scoring with nineteen points for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals would jump out to early lead as the Blue Devils struggled with shooting in the first half, trailing by eighteen with a score of 42-24.
The third quater would prove be a draw as both squads shot 7-17 from the field with the Devils only cutting into the Cardinals lead by one. Fredonia State at the start of the fourth would go on a 9-0 run capped off by a Park triple to pull within eight. However, the Blue Devils could not generate enough offense down the stretch as the Cardinals would hold off the Fredonia State comeback.
The Devils (5-15/2-13 SUNYAC) travel to Potsdam for a 2 p.m. tipoff on Saturday.
