BOXSCORE POTSDAM N.Y. -- Fredonia State Blue Devils were defeated by the Potsdam Bears in a high scoring game 94-82. A.J. Knight would lead Fredonia State in scoring going for 22 points and five steals. Jacob Hougan finished the night with 13 points and six rebounds. DeAndre Hayes added a game high eight assists.

The first half would prove to be a back and forth contest with the lead changing seven times with five ties. Jacob Hougan would break the ice for the Blue Devils scoring on a offensive rebound put back and lay up in the post to tie the game at four. Potsdam would go on a ten to two run to go up 36-26. The Blue Devils would counter with a driving lay up from A.J. Knight. Then, Malik Jemison would get his hands on a steal and go coast to coast and convert on a driving lay up. Another Knight score would cap off a eight to zero run. In the final six seconds of the half, a contested three made by Potsdam's Parker Kelly gave the Bears a 42-36 lead at the half. 

Fredonia State at the start of the second, came out flat as Potsdam raced out to a 18-4 run to push the lead 20 points. The Blue Devils, again, would counter with 22-9 to bring the Potsdam lead to single digits. Unfortunately, this would be as close as the Devils would get with Potsdam maintaining a double digit lead the rest of the way to end the game.

The Blue Devils shot 45.3 percent from the field and had 37 rebounds. Potsdam's Brandon Seager would score a game high of 24 points and eight rebounds. Parker Kelly would add 23 points as well. 

The Blue Devils will return home to Dods Hall for the final two games of the season against Geneseo on Friday Feb 17th at 7:00 P.M. and Oswego Saturday Feb 18th at 4:00 P.M.
