PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. --Â The Fredonia State men's basketball team came up short in tightly contested game at Plattsburgh by a final score of 80-70.
The Blue Devills seized control of the game in the first half shooting fifty percent from the field with 4 triples into halftime nursing a 1 point lead 36-35. The start of the second was all Fredonia as the Blue Devils surged to a 8 point lead with multiple fast break scores. However, costly turnovers and miscues down the stretch would plague Fredonia as the Cardinals continued to stay the course and cut into the lead. Plattsburgh fueled by. a 41-27 run would capture lead mid way through the second and would hold on for the win.Â
 A.J. Knight had another impressive outing for Blue Devils with twenty two points.
Jacob Hougan shot 5-7 from the field netting 10 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.
Malik Jemison dished out a game high 7 assists.Â
Plattsburgh's Kevin Tabb would lead all scoring with twenty six points & Franklin Infante with fifteen points & five assists.Â
Fredonia State moves to 2-20 overall & 2-13 in SUNYAC play. The Blue Devils return to the court Saturday Feb 11Â at Potsdam with tip off set for 4:00 P.M.Â
