FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State hockey team fell 10-3 to SUNYAC-leading Plattsburgh on Friday. The Devils got goals from Antonio Demacopoulos, Bryce Witman, and Jake Blackwell.

The Cardinals scored early and often, finding the net six times by the end of the first period. 

The Blue Devils would get on the board early in the second period with a Demacopoulos goal assisted by Witman 3:03 into the period. This marked the fifth goal of the season for Demacopoulos.

Witman would go on to add another goal for Fredonia State assisted by Ethan Pitzman with 2:44 remaining in the second. It was his fifth of the season. However, the Cardinals would go on to extend their lead 9-2 by the end of the second period.

The score would remain the same until Blackwell scored for the Blue Devils at 6:31 of the third, bringing the score to 9-3.

Plattsburgh would add one more goal to bring the final score to 10-3.

Fredonia State would finish the night with thirty four shots on goal. The Cardinals improve to 16-4-0 on the season and 10-2-1 in SUNYAC, and the Blue Devils move to 5-14-0 with a 3-8-0 record in SUNYAC play. 

The Blue Devils return to the ice tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. as they play host to the annual Pink the Rink game against Potsdam. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
