BOXSCORE FREDONIA, N.Y. --  After a strong performance in the first in which the Blue Devils lead throughout the majority, a slow start to the second half would see the Knights secure a 80-64 win. 

My'Kell Kaigler would lead Fredonia State in scoring with 13 points. A.J. Knight would score 11 points with seven rebounds and six assists. Malik Jemison would also score 11 points. Geneseo had four players score in double digits and was lead by  Ethan St. Lucia who finished with a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

The Blue Devils would come out hot from the start, scoring the games first 5 points of the game and maintaining a 23-16 lead with 9:40 left to play in the first half. Geneseo would go on a 6-0 run in the next two minutes to take a one point advantage. Fredonia State would go on a eight to nothing run to take their biggest lead of the night 31-24. Geneseo would close the gap quickly as they ended the half outscoring Fredonia State 10-5 with the Blue Devils clinging to a one point lead 36-35. 

The second half was all Knights from the start as Geneseo scored nine points in the games opening two minutes . Two driving lay ups from Knight and a Alon Haimovitz three pointer would allow the Blue Devils to draw within one point 44-43  with 17:00 left to play. Unfortunately, this would be as close as the Blue Devils would get in the end as the Knights would go on a nine to zero over the next three minutes as Fredonia State continued to struggle offensively down the stretch. The Blue Devils would shoot 45 percent from the field and 32 percent from the three point line for the game. The Knights dominated the offensive glass with 14 offensive rebounds and got to the line 22 times shooting 16-22. 

The Blue Devils will close out their season Saturday against SUNY Oswego with tip off set for 4:00 P.M.
