FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The debut of the SUNYAC's new divisional format and an exhibition game against NCAA Division I Mercyhurst highlight the 2026-27 Fredonia State men's basketball schedule.
The Blue Devils open the season with an exhibition contest at D'Youville on Nov. 2 before tipping off the regular season Nov. 7 at home against Penn State Behrend. Fredonia will also travel to Hilbert on Nov. 11 and Hiram on Nov. 14 before returning home to host Villa Maria on Nov. 18 and Houghton on Nov. 21.
A Nov. 24 exhibition at NCAA Division I Mercyhurst precedes a home game against Alfred University on Dec. 1 before the Blue Devils play host to Oneonta on Dec. 5 to open the SUNYAC portion of the season.
Following a trip to Penn State Greater Allegheny, SUNYAC play heats up the following weekend when the Blue Devils welcome Oswego on Dec. 11 and Morrisville on Dec. 12. The conference schedule takes on a new look in 2026-27 as the league adopts East and West divisions. Fredonia's West Division opponents are Alfred State, Buffalo State, Cortland, Morrisville, and Oswego. The Blue Devils will face each division opponent twice, once at home and once on the road. In addition to Oneonta, crossover games will come against Canton, Cobleskill, Delhi, Plattsburgh, and Potsdam.
Following a Jan. 2 road game at Elmira, Fredonia resumes conference play with games at Alfred State and Cortland on Jan. 8 and 9. The Blue Devils return home Jan. 12 to face Penn State Shenango before traveling to Buffalo State on Jan. 15.
Home crossover games against Cobleskill and Plattsburgh are scheduled for Jan. 22 and 23. Fredonia then heads to Morrisville and Oswego on Jan. 29 and 30 before road contests at Canton and Potsdam on Feb. 5 and 6.
The Blue Devils conclude their home schedule with games against Cortland on Feb. 12, Alfred State on Feb. 13, and Buffalo State on Feb. 17. The regular season finale is set for Feb. 20 at Delhi.
The SUNYAC Tournament begins with quarterfinal games on Feb. 23. The semifinals and championship game are scheduled for Feb. 26 and 27, respectively.
