FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team played to a 2-all tie vs. Oswego on Wednesday evening at University Stadium. The Devils held a 1-0 lead after the first half. Oswego scored twice before a goal by
Chance LaCroix tied the game in the 84th minute.
The Devils first goal came courtesy of a pair of assists --
Lee Hartke and
Huddy Kwiatkowski -- as
Markus Johansson knocked the ball into the net.
Oswego scored in the 65th and 82nd minutes to take the lead.
LaCroix found the net after after collecting the ball and putting it past the Oswego goalie's left side. It was LaCroix's fourth goal of the year.
Tanner Stutzman made 10 saves for the Devils, and Andre Bourjollu made three stops.
The Devils now stand at 5-3-4 and 1-3-1 in the SUNYAC. Oswego moves to 2-3-5 overall and 1-1-2 in the conference.
They play host to Plattsburgh on Saturday. A 1:00 start is slated at University Stadium.
