FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Penn State Behrend on Wednesday. A pair of first-half scores would hold up for the visiting Lions.
Behrend's first goal came when Blake Cooper scored in the 14th minute. Justin Hockenberger assisted. Cooper would strike again in the 29th minute, this time unassisted.
The Lions out shot the Devils, 10-7, but both teams had four shots on goal. Fredonia State had a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks
Thomas McDonald played all 90 minutes in goal for the Devils. Sam York earned the shutout for Behrend.
It was the final home game of the season for the Devils, who fall to 5-7-4. They wrap up the season this weekend at New Paltz. Behrend improves its record to 8-3-3.
