ONEONTA, N.Y. -- After a scoreless first half, the Oneonta women's soccer team scored twice to defeat Fredonia State, 2-0, on Saturday. The Devils out shot the Dragons, 17-10, but were unable to get in the scoring column.
Fredonia State had eight shots on goal, compared to six by Oneonta.
Abby Szymkowiak made four saves in goal for the Devils, who fall to 5-7-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the SUNYAC. Oneonta is now 5-4-3 and 2-4-1.
The ladies return to University Stadium on Tuesday vs. Penn State Behrend, and have their final conference game at home next Saturday.
