FREDONIA, N.Y. --
Grace Mackey scored late in the first half to give the Fredonia State women's soccer team a 1-0 lead, but a pair of second-half goals propelled visiting Penn State Behrend a 2-1 victory on Tuesday evening.
Mackey scored her third goal of the season off a
Lexi Lindamer assist in the 43rd minute. Behrend out shot the Devils, 9-6, in the first half.
The second half saw the Lions collect scores in the 54th and 78th minutes to claim the win. The Lions picked up the pace in the half, outshooting the Devils, 10-4.
Fredonia State's
Abby Szymkowiak made 11 saves in goal. Riley Morningstar made seven stops for the Lions.
The Devils fall to 5-8-2, while Behrend improves to 10-4-1.

morgansmessage.org -- brings awareness to mental health issues of student-athletes. It was founded by the family of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke lacrosse player, who died by suicide in July of 2019. A collection was also taken up at halftime to benefit the organization.
