GENESEO, N.Y. -- Geneseo scored a goal at the 14:08 mark of the first half and would make the lead stand in a 1-0 win over the Fredonia State women's soccer team.
Lindsay Wright scored on an assist from Mckinley Scala to put Geneseo on the board.
Geneseo pressed most of the action offensively, taking 17 shots with eight shots on goal. The Devils had just one shot on goal, coming from
Kayleigh Daniels.
Sabrina Suriani made seven saves in net for the Devils. Angel Bennett had one save in earning the shutout.
The Devils fall to 2-5-2 overall and 0-3 in the SUNYAC. Geneseo is now 5-3-1 and 2-0-0.
Fredonia State returns home with a 1 p.m. start vs. Cortland on Saturday.
