FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team fell 2-0 vs. Buffalo State on Wednesday. The Bengals used a pair of first-half goals to claim the victory.
The Devils fired seven shots, including five shots on goal. The Bengal's Shae Wirt stopped all five shots in earning the shutout.
Will Richardson made six saves in goal for the Devils.Â
Buffalo State took 14 shots, with eight shots on goal. Their scores came from Hosa Omar in the 7th minute, and Manu Prieto in the 21st minute.
"Buffalo State came out on top of us," said head coach PJ Gondeck, "and were rewarded with two early goals. We did rebound in the second half but were unable to capitalize on some quality chances."
Buffalo State improves to 3-2-2 overall and 1-0 in the SUNYAC. The Devils are now 1-4-2, and 0-1-1 in the conference.
The Devils are back in SUNYAC action when they play host to New Paltz on Saturday.
