Lerner earns gold

RESULTS

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Freshman Haley Lerner continued her eye-opening freshman campaign, winning the women's pole vault at the SUNYAC Meet. Lerner was the No. 1 seed entering the event.  Her vault of 3.35m topped second-place finisher Noelle Coolican of Geneseo, who recorded a height of 3.20m.

Eleanor Clarke earned a third-place finish in the javelin, with a distance of 34.70m, which was a regional qualifying throw. The winning toss was 36.41m by Alayna Fredenburg of Brockport.

Ally Battaglia set a Blue Devil freshman record with a time of 18:39.43 in the 5000m. Her time also ranked seventh in school history. She finished eighth overall and qualified for the Regional Meet. Battaglia also competed in the 1500m, finishing ninth in a time of 5:05.61.
