FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State hockey team fell to the No. 10 ranked Oswego Lakers, 3-0, on Saturday. The Lakers scored one goal in each period and had 37 shots on goal compared to 18 by the Blue Devils.
Oswego scored first, when Noah Bull collected a rebound in front of the net for his second goal of the season. Matt McQuade and Ryan Bunka were credited with the assists.
The Lakers doubled their lead in the second period when defenseman Troy Robillard scored on helpers from Garrett Clegg and Brett Fudger. It was Robillard's first score of the year.
The third goal came on a power play off the stick of Alex DiCarlo with just over four minutes left to play in the game. It was DiCarlo's team-leading eighth goal of the season.
The Devil's
Craig McCabe pushed the offensive effort with nine shots, including five shots on goal.
Anders Johnson picked up three blocks on the defensive end. The Devils collected 20 as a team.
The Devils were 0-2 on power play chances and the Lakers scored once in five man-up advantages.

Logan Dyck made 34 saves.
Oswego's Eric Green was credited with the shutout and evened his season record at 1-1. He made 18 saves. The Lakers improved to 9-4 and 7-1 in the SUNYAC.
The Devils (2-9 and 2-6 SUNYAC) are off until Jan. 10, when they return to Steele Hall to take on Brockport.
