FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State hockey team fell to Brockport, 4-2, on Tuesday. Tied 1-1 after two periods, the teams combined for four third-period goals, with game winner coming at the 11:03 mark of the third. The Golden Eagles would tack on a late power-play score to give the final.

The teams traded goals in the first period. Fredonia State's Joe Santoro opened the scoring 8:14 into the game with an assist from Spencer Quinn. It was Santoro's first career goal.

Brockport evened the score when Scott Raemekers scored his first of two goals with help from teammate Zach Norby with 2:35 left in the first.

Brockport appeared to have scored early in the second, but the goal was waived off for goaltender interference. Brockport's Connor Galloway ripped a shot that was stopped by Fredonia Sate goaltender Charles-Anthony Barbeau. Galloway's momentum carried him into Barbeau, opening a shot that was immediately declared no goal.

Brockport had a chance to score late in the second.  Adam Beauvais had a breakaway, but Barbeau made a nice pad save to deny the score. The game remained tied 1-1 heading into the third period.

Brockport took its first lead at five minutes into the third when Ramaekers ripped a shot from the point, beating Barbeau glove side. He was assisted by Sam Dibitetto.

Fredonia State's Ryan Bailey would tie the game halfway through the third with an assist from Craig McCabe. It was Bailey's sixth goal of the year.

Brockport closed out the game with a pair of goals, the second one coming on a power play.

Barbeau -- who transferred at the start of this semester -- made his first start for the Devils. He made 30 saves. Brockport's Aidan Curry was credited with 20 stops.

Bailey led the Devils with eight shots, including four on goal. Bryce Witman was credited with five shots on goal.

Brockport improves to 5-9, while the Devils drop to 2-10. The game was considered a non-SUNYAC contest. The two teams first met back on Dec. 2 when the Devils claimed a 1-0 victory. They will meet again Feb. 10 for their second conference matchup of the season.

The Devils have another pair of non-conference home games this weekend vs. SUNY Canton.
