FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State men's basketball team fell to Penn State Behrend 73-56 Wednesday in Dods Hall.
AJ Knight led the Devils with 13 points and
Aaron Collins added 12.
Behrend struck first and would hold the lead until Knight made a layup to tie the game at 23 all. Behrend made the next two baskets and would take a 35-28 lead into the half.
The Devils would pull within six points at the 12-minute mark when
Matt Aebersold nailed a three but would get no closer than that.
The Devils shot 8-16 from beyond the arc with Collins leading the team with three long-range buckets.
DeAndre Hayes added eight points and team highs of four assists and four rebounds.
Tommy DiRenzo lead Behrend with 22 points with 4-5 three pointers. As a team, the Lions shot a sizzling 14-21 from three point land. Behrend improved its record to 4-5.
Fredonia State dropped to 0-11 and returns to Dods Hall on Friday to take on SUNYAC rival New Paltz.
