ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team dropped an 88-60 game at Oneonta on Thursday. The Devils were led by
Malik Jemison (Buffalo, N.Y. / Canisius) with 17 points.
Marquis Tubman (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Erasmus Hall) added 12.
Adesoji Tiamiyu (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Environmental Studies) added 10 points and six rebounds.
Oneonta set the pace early on, as they ran out to an 11-0 lead.
Lance Welker (Cambridge Springs, Pa. / Cambridge Springs) got the Devils started with a jumper four minutes into the game. Oneonta kept up the pressure, taking a 47-29 lead into the break.
The Devils were outscored 41-31 in the second half.
For the game, they shot 37 percent from the floor, with Oneonta connecting on 50 percent of its shots. Both teams had five threes. The Devils went 5-12 from the line, with the Red Dragons going 13-22. Oneonta won the battle on the boards, 46-41.
Oneonta improves its record to 7-6, and 3-3 in conference play.
The Devils fall to 0-12 overall, and 0-5 in the SUNYAC. They travel to New Paltz on Friday.
