BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's soccer beat Medaille College, 7-0, on Wednesday evening. In its last two games, the team has outscored its opposition 17-0.
The Devils collected six first-half goals.
Bri Grazen scored twice, and
Gabby Alston,
Maddy Payne,
Sophia Alesi, and
Jessica Caracciola all scored a goal. Alston increased her team-leading goal total to four.
Grazen and
Suzanna Wojnowski added assists.
Payne added a second-half score, and is now second on the team, along with Grazen, with three goals this season.
Sabrina Suriani and
Dani Rubino split time in goal for the Devils.
After a season-opening 2-2 tie, the Fredonia State defense has allowed one goal in its last five games, all victories, to improve to 5-0-1. Medaille drops to 1-4.
The Devils return home this weekend to take on St. John Fisher on Saturday. The game is slated for 1 p.m.
