FREDONIA, N.Y. -- An epic home-running hitting barrage launched the University of Rochester Yellowjackets to a doubleheader sweep over Fredonia State, 20-0 and 10-1, in non-conference softball Tuesday at Blue Devil Field.

Hannah Keiper pounded four home runs -- two in each game -- and her teammates pounded four more as the Yellowjackets improved to 17-4.

The Blue Devils fell to 2-6. They managed just five hits in the two games -- one each by Alexis Wulf and Hannah Mezzoprete in the opener, and a double by Eva FitzSimmons and singles by Nicole Kumro and Delana Thomas in the nightcap. An infield groundout by Alyssa Piniewski plated the Blue Devils' lone run in the fourth inning of the second game.

Emily Chelius was the losing pitcher in Game 1. Vanessa Galbraith took the loss in Game 2.

The Blue Devils are off Wednesday before facing Brockport on Thursday for a SUNYAC doubleheader at Blue Devil Field.
