FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Jackson Brown (Latham, N.Y.) nailed what appeared to be the game-winning shot to put Fredonia State up 80-79 with just three seconds remaining in the game. Geneseo inbounded the ball with a full-court pass and Michael Gannon converted a layup with 0.3 seconds left as Geneseo snared the victory. Jackson was terrific all night for the Devils and finished with 23 points that included five three pointers.

Jacob Hougan (Chardon, Ohio) and My'Kell Kaigler (Liverpool, N.Y. ) both had 19 points, with Hougan collecting a team-high seven rebounds as the Devils fell to 0-8 and 0-2 in conference play.

Gannon was one of four Knights to reach double digits, with 23 points. Geneseo improves to 2-3 and 1-0 in the SUNYAC.

The game was competitive the entire night. There were eight lead changes and eight ties. 

The Devils return to Dods Hall on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tipoff vs. Cortland.
