BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team surrendered a goal in the 64th minute and fell to Brockport 2-1 on Friday. The Devils fell to 6-10 overall and 1-7 in the SUNYAC. Brockport moves to 7-6-1 and 3-5-0.
Kaleb Steward (Kennedy, N.Y. / Randolph) scored Fredonia State's lone goal in the 53rd minute to tie the game at 1-all. It was his fourth goal of the season. He was assisted by
Jackson Retzer (Bowmansville, N.Y. / Williamsville North) who collected his team-high fifth assist.
Brockport got onto the board with a goal by Matthew Stefaniw at the 13:35 mark, and Noah Mohamed scored the game-winner in the second half.
Brockport outshot the Devils, 17-7, and had an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal. Steward had both shots on goal for FSU.
William Richardson (Penfield, N.Y. / Penfield) made five saves for Fredonia State.
The Devils wrap up their season tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Geneseo.
