GENESEO, N.Y. – The Fredonia State Men's Soccer Team (6-11-0, 1-8-0 SUNYAC) ended their season on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils dropped a 4-1 decision to Geneseo (9-6-2, 5-4-0 SUNYAC).
The teams played the first 30 minutes even until Geneseo opened the scoring in the 33
rd minute. The home team added goals in the 47
th, 57
th, and 59
th minutes.
Kevin Loftus (Lancaster, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for Fredonia State, off an assist from
Jackson Retzer (Bowmansville, N.Y.)
Loftus led all players with two shots.
Jacob Gennaro (East Amherst, N.Y.) and
Jake Murray (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) both added one shot on goal.
William Richardson (Penfield, N.Y.) and
Kyle Pezzulo (Rochester, N.Y.) split time for the Devils.
Richardson played for just over 51 minutes and recorded three saves. Pezzulo finished the game for Fredonia State, also recording three saves.
