FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team dropped a 104-57 road contest at Brockport on Tuesday. Brockport jumped out quickly cruised to the conference win. The Golden Eagles led 26-9 at the midway point of the first half and led by as many as 24 in the first stanza.
Moussa Samassa led the Devils with nine points and
Gary Sykes had a team-high five rebounds.
De'Quan Smith and
Tyler Roberts had eight points apiece.
Fredonia State shot well from the floor, connecting on 50 percent of its shots in the first half, and 45 percent for the game. However, they trailed 35-25 in rebounds and turned the ball over a season-high 28 times.
Brockport improves to 13-1 in the SUNYAC and 18-3 overall. They had five players in double digits, led by Tyler Sullivan's 16.
The Devils (3-12 / 7-15 overall) have three SUNYAC games remaining -- all at home. They take on New Paltz and Oneonta on Friday and Saturday, then play host to Buffalo State next Tuesday.
