HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Fredonia State improved to 5-0 after an 8-1 women's tennis win Thursday over Houghton.

The victory included singles wins by Anna Chiacchia, Sarah Bunk, Jane Chiacchia, Taylor Marelli, and Avril King. The pairs of Anna Chiacchia and Bunk, Jane Chiacchia and Marelli, and King and Ashley Mills swept the doubles competition.

The Blue Devils play their first SUNYAC match of the season Saturday when they visit Brockport. The match starts at 1 p.m.
