Sabrina Suriani made five saves. It was the first college game for Subrina, a freshman.
Johanna Dunkers and Anika Washburn had two goals each for the Spartans (2-0-0), who led 3-0 at halftime and finished with a flourish with three goals in the final five minutes.Â
Spartan goalkeeper Lauren Metz made the lone save on Minotti's shot to get credit for the shutout.
After two road games to open the season, the Blue Devils begin a five-game homestand starting Friday afternoon vs. D'Youville as part of the Blue Devil Classic. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.
