BRADFORD, PA -- Despite having five players score in double digits, the Fredonia men's basketball team could not hang on in an 89-83 loss at Pitt-Bradford on Friday.
Dydy Bryan led the Devils with 21 points and five assists.
Moussa Samassa scored 15,
Adam Braniecki had 14,
Chad Biersbach had 13, and
De'Quan Smith had 12 points.
Chase Johnson had seven rebounds, and Samassa and Braniecki had six each.
Bradford had six players score in double figures, led by Jeffrey Fry with 19.
Fredonia State shot a solid 48 percent from the floor, and Bradford hit on 50 percent of its shots. From the free-throw line, the Devils shot 75 percent (18 of 24), and Bradford was 27 of 34 (79 percent).
The difference was Bradford's shooting from the outside. They connected on 51 percent (14 of 23) from beyond the arc, compared to 7 of 19 shooting (37 percent) for the Devils.
Fredonia State falls to 3-2. Bradford improves to 1-2.
