ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- St. John Fisher scored twice midway through the second half to defeat Fredonia State, 2-0, in women's soccer Tuesday night.
Carli Kovarik netted both scores, in the 63rd and 78th minute, to drop the Blue Devils to 4-8-2. It was their final non-conference game of the season.
Abbey Monahan made three saves for Fredonia State while St. John Fisher's Gabriella D'Ambrosio (one save) and Kayla Shutts combined on the shutout. The Blue Devils took four shots, the lone one on goal by
Haley Elsey.
St. John Fisher improved to 5-6-2.
Fredonia State has three SUNYAC games remaining, starting with the home finale Saturday vs. Buffalo State. The Battle By The Lake meeting is set to start at 1 p.m
