BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A header by senior
Dave Trabold (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) late in the first overtime lifted Fredonia over Keuka, 2-1, in the men's soccer season opener Friday.
Trabold scored following a free kick from 30 years out by senior
Ryan Ross (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island), who booted the ball with arc into the box. Trabold was stationed in front of the net, where he completed the play.
Action took place in the 100th minute at the Buffalo State Fred Hartrick Classic, where Fredonia is back in action Saturday at 5 p.m. against D'Youville.
It was the second assist of the game for Ross, who also set up sophomore

The games played a scoreless first half before Keuka broke through in the 50th minute on a goal by Joshua Card.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Ty Bentham (Columbus, Ind.) made five saves in the Fredonia goal.
