FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia men's basketball team dropped a 64-48 decision to Oswego on Saturday.
Isaiah Ice (Bronx, N.Y. / Iona Prep) was the only Devil to score in double digits, with 12 points.
Justin Tapper (White Plains, N.Y. / White Plains) added 8 points and
Ian Helps (Bronx, N.Y. / Greater New York Academy) had 8 rebounds.
Fredonia scored first and led 11-9 early on. Oswego then took the lead for good, going on a 10-0 run. Jamir Ferebee scored the first eight, before Josh Ivey's layup put the visitors up, 19-11.
Oswego would lead 30-22 at the break.
The Devils worked their way to within seven points, 45-38, when Tapper converted back-to-back layups at the 9:29 mark. Over the next six minutes, Oswego went on a 17-4 run to take a 62-42 lead.
Oswego (4-4 / 3-1 SUNYAC) was led by Ferebee with 30 points. Ian Schupp added 15.
The Devils fall to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference. The team is off until after the New Year.
