FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia men's hockey takes on a pair of Keystone State invaders this weekend at the Steele Hall Ice Arena. Both games have 7 p.m. puck drops.

On Friday, the Blue Devils (1-2-0) meet the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen (0-1-1) from Annville, Pa. The Dutchmen will then head up to Buffalo and trade places with the Chatham Cougars (0-2-0), a first-year varsity program from Pittsburgh, Pa. who'll take on the Buffalo State on Friday night.

Coming off an 4-3 win over then-No. 6 Geneseo last Saturday, Fredonia will be looking to build off that game. "(The Geneseo game) has to be a catalyst for moving forward and cementing our identity even further," Blue Devil Head Coach Jeff Meredith said. "That was the type of effort, battle and compete that we had been in search of and now we are faced with the task of bringing it every game.

"There is a prescribed way that we have to play each game: How we have to take care of the puck, be physical, and be a hard team to play against. The minute we get away from that, we are average at best. On the other side of that coin, though, is when we play that way we can be very effective."

Anton Rosén, a sophomore from Orsa, Sweden, is expected to get the start in goal for Fredonia. With the Blue Devils down 3-1 to Geneseo after the first period, Rosén entered the game the start of the period and proceeded to stop all 23 shots he faced. It earned him a Fredonia Athlete of the Week award.

The Steele Hall ticket booth opens at 6 p.m. both Friday and Saturday nights.
