GROVE CITY, PA. -- Christian Krasneck (Springville, N.Y. / Springville Griffith Institute) again won both the 3-meter and 1-meter boards with NCAA Zones qualifying scores on Saturday when the Fredonia men's swimming and diving team competed in a tri-meet at Grove City. Geneseo was the third team.

Patrick McCormick (Grand Island, N.Y. / Canisius) played second fiddle to Krasnek off both boards.

Off the 3-meter, Krasnek scored a 295.85 to McCormick's 206.70. Krasnek followed with a 323.00 off the 1-meter, with McCormick 205.05.

Other top finishers were Graham Jones (Tonawanda, N.Y. / Kenmore East) who was third in the 500 yard freestyle in 5:07.77, and Bill Bradley (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk) who was third in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:03.84.

Although the Devils finished third, head coach Arthur Wang felt the team was headed in the right direction. "The teams swam faster, and I was happy with performances," said Wang.

The Devils are back in the pool next weekend with another tri-meet, this time at the University of Rochester along with Alfred.
