ITHACA, N.Y. -- Fredonia men's swimming and diving opened its season Saturday at Ithaca in a tri-meet that also included Brockport.
The Blue Devil men had four second-place finishes. Sophomore springboard diver
Christian Krasnek (Springville, N.Y.) was second off both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. In addition, senior
Graham Jones (Tonawanda, N.Y.) was second in the 500-yard freestyle and semnior
Bill Bradley (Dunkirk, N.Y.) second in the 50-yard butterfly. Jones was also third in the 200-yard free and Bradley third in the 200-yard fly.
Others in the top six in their respective events were freshman
Patrick McCormick (Grand Island, N.Y.), fourth in 3-meter diving as well as sixth in the 50-yard breaststroke; Bradley fourth in the 100-yard freestyle; sophomore
Pat Woods (Hamburg, N.Y.), fourth in the 100-yard individual medley as well as fifth in the 100-yard backstroke; and senior
Ben Chatley (Sanborn, N.Y.), sixth in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Fredonia also had the fourth-place 200-yard freestyle relay team of sophomoer
Cameron Criss (Plattsburgh, N.Y.), Jones, Woods, and Bradley.
