FREDONIA, N.Y. --
Arron Carlson (LeRoy, N.Y. / Notre Dame) won both boards again as the Fredonia men's swimming and diving team returned to action following its winter training trip to Arizona.
Carlson won the 3-meter with a score of 312.82, and the 1-meter with a mark of 326.40.
Bill Bradley (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk) finished first in the 100-yard butterfly in 55.38 seconds. He was followed by
Liam Jones (Buffalo, N.Y. / Kenmore East) in :57.19.
Troy Lubanski (Leicester, N.Y. / York) Â topped the 200 individual medley in 2:02.56, followed by teammate
Jonah Adeson (Queensbury, N.Y. / Queensbury) in 2:21.00.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team touched  in 1:32.99 and earned the top spot on the podium. Pat Woods (Hamburg, N.Y. / Frontier),
Liam Jones,
Ben Chatley (Sanborn, N.Y. / Starpoint), and Bradley made up the quartet.
Second-place finishers included Lubanski in the 100- and the 200-yard backstrokes in :56.34 and 2:03.88, respectively.
Jake Favret (Watertown, N.Y. / Watertown) was runner-up in the 100- and the 200-yard breaststrokes. He was .15 seconds off the pace in the 100, finishing at 1:00.48. He turned in a 2:24.30 in the 200. The 200-yard medley relay team of Lubanski, Favret, Bradley, and
Liam Jones touched in 1:39.48 for a second-place finish.
In diving,
Jake Storms (Fredonia, N.Y. / Owego) took second off the 3-meter board (260.33) and
Christian Krasnek (Springville, N.Y. / Springville-Griffith Institute) was second off the 1-meter board (269.24).
Grove City won the meet 159-131.
The swimmers have a couple weeks off before returning to Steele Hall on Jan. 28. Prior to that, the divers compete at Trinity University in Texas in a two-day event Jan. 20-21.
