CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The No. 2 Cortland Red Dragons took a pair of games, 7-2 and 7-1, over the Fredonia baseball team on Saturday.

Liam Kelly and Michael Prentice led the Devils with three hits each in the doubleheader.

In the opener, freshman Luke Kuczewski took the loss going 4 1/3 innings giving up seven runs. Zach Lyman pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. Bailey Gauthier took the loss in Game 2. He went five innings giving up four runs. Lyman finished the game with another 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

Cortland improves to 18-3 overall and 4-2 in the SUNYAC.

The Devils, now 8-10 overall and 2-4 in conference, have their home opener scheduled for Wednesday vs. Penn State Behrend.
