BRADENTON, Fla. -- Fredonia jumped to an early lead on the way to a 10-5 women's lacrosee win Monday over Stevens.
Goals by
Jade Williams (Tully, N.Y. / Lafayette) and
Kristie Kleine (Cazenovia, N.Y.) staked the Blue Devils (2-3) to a 2-0 lead. Cami Santor put Stevens on the board before
Katie Miller (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) scored twice and
Audrey Yokopovich (Webster, N.Y. / Webster Thomas) once. The Blue Devils led by four goals or more the rest of the game.
Yokopovich had four goals and one assist, Miller three goals, and Williams two goals, Kleine had two assists while Williams and
Lauren Metz (Williamsville, N.Y. / Lancaster) picked up three ground balls each.
The Blue Devils are back in action 10 a.m. Wednesday against St. Lawrence, then return home for a Saturday afternoon game vs. Mount Union.
