BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Fredonia closed out the road portion of its dual-meet schedule with a 149-113 win over Brockport in men's swimming and diving.
The Blue Devils won 11 individual events and one relay. Double-winners were sophomores
Bill Bradley (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk),
Nathan Link (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island), and
Graham Jones (Buffalo, N.Y./Kenmore East).
Bradley touched out first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.40) and the 100-yard butterfly (:55.10). Link was the winner of the 100-yard backstroke (:59.19) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.05). Jones pulled off a long-distance double in winning the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.57) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:03.18).
Single swimming winners were sophomore
Ben Chatley (Sanborn, N.Y./Starpoint) in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.67), freshman
Jake Favret (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.34), senior
Will Baker (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) in the 50-yard freestyle (:22.50), and junior
Adam Clouthier (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Link, Clouthier, Bradley, and Baker combined to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:40.53.
In springboard diving, junior
Arron Carlson (LeRoy, N.Y./Notre Dame) was victorious in the 3-meter event with 332.90 points. He also had a meet-best of 293.55 points in the 1-meter, although it was entered as an exhibition score. Both his scores and the 1-meter score of senior
Rafael Santiago (Middletown, N.Y./Middletown) -- 290.00 points -- met or exceeded the NCAA zone qualifying standard.
Next up for the Blue Devils is a home meet next Saturday at 1 p.m. vs. Cortland. Festivities will include the Senior Day presentation.
