Ian Helps scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Dante WIlliams added 13 points and six boards.
The game started off close with the Devils trailing 13-11 following a pair of
Jared Fish free throws at the 14:29 mark. Plattsburgh then went on a 23-4 run over the next six-and-a-half minutes to up its lead to 36-15. They led 50-30 at the break.
The Devils would cut down the lead in the second half, but the closest they would come would be 11 points. Following back-to-back layups by Helps and
Kasean Jackson, Fredonia trailed 65-54 with 7:05 left to play.
The Devils outrebounded Plattsburgh 42-39. Plattsburgh held an edge in shooting percentage (49 percent to 41), and both teams shot 71 percent from the line. Fredonia converted 17 of 24 attempts, and Plattsburgh was 15 of 21.
Fredonia falls to 6-17 overall and 5-7 in the conference.
Plattsburgh (15-3, 10-1)Â was led by Jonathan Patron, who cloned Helps' performance with 22 points and nine boards. Kyle Richardson added 20 and nine rebounds.
The Devils travel to Oswego and Cortland next weekend.
