PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Fredonia fell to 5-8-2 with a 5-2 men's hockey loss Wednesday night at Johnson & Wales.

Jimmy Morgan (Highlands Ranch, Col.) put the Blue Devils on top, 1-0, at 6:30 of the first period while Todd Schauss (Terryville, Conn.) forged a 2-2 tie at 8:58 of the second.

It was the fifth goal of the season for Morgan, the second for Schauss.

Drew Kariofiles of Johnson & Wales broke the tie at 12:08 of the second period and the Wildcats pulled away with two goals in the third period.

Eric Bogart (London, Ont.) got the start in the Fredonia net and made 21 saves before being replaced.

The Blue Devils return to action Thursday afternoon when they visit Western New England in Springfield, Mass. Game time is 3:10 p.m.
