BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The Fredonia women's tennis team opened its season with a 9-0 SUNYAC loss at Brockport.

The match featured the collegiate debuts of three Fredonia freshmen: Olivia Miller (Springwater, N.Y.), Chloe Karnisky (Canandaigua, N.Y.) and Christine Thomas (Ransomville, N.Y.).

Samantha Pedneault (East Moriches, N.Y.), a junior, played at both No. 1 singles and No. 1.

It was the third match of the season for Brockport. The Golden Eagles improved to 3-0.

Fredonia plays host to Thiel College at Steele Hall on Monday at 3 p.m.
