Devils drop Naz on the road, now 9-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Blue Devil women's volleyball team has now won nine of their first 10 games after dropping Nazareth on Wednesday, 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-18).

Fredonia's servers kept the Golden Flyers' offense out of system most of the match, particularly senior Paulina Rein (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) who finished the match with six aces.

Jessica DiChristopher (Cheektowaga, N.Y./ West Seneca East) and Kristen Stanek (Hamburg, N.Y. / Orchard Park) each tallied eight kills for the Blue Devils off the setting of Kelly Edinger (Rochester, N.Y. / Greece Athena), who finished with 23 assists.

Defensively, the team was again led by senior libero Lauren Hokaj (Lancaster, N.Y. / St. Mary's of Lancaster) with 12 digs. Edinger and Rein each had 11 digs.

The team will travel to Hiram, Ohio this weekend for four matches at the Hiram Invitational, which begins on Friday at 2 p.m.
