FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia men's basketball team dropped an 88-50 home decision to SUNYAC rival Cortland on Saturday.

Ian Helps (Bronx, N.Y. / Greater New York Academy) turned in another solid performance with 22 points and 11 rebounds. It was his sixth double double of the season. Sophomore
Akil Spruill (Jamaica, N.Y. / Holy Cross) had nine points and four rebounds.
Cortland scored the game's first seven points and never looked back, leading 39-20 at the half.
Cortland (15-5 overall, 8-5 SUNYAC) was led by Lamard Herron with 16 and Blair Estarfaa with 14. The Red Dragons had a 35-28 edge in rebounds.
The Devils (2-18, 1-13) return to Steele Hall for their fourth home game in eight days on Tuesday. The Devils take on Brockport in the 5:30 tipoff.
