FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia women's tennis won its third match in three days Saturday, a 5-4 victory over Medaille at the Miller Tennis Center in Williamsville, N.Y.
The Blue Devils (6-4) also defeated Pitt-Bradford, 5-1, in a shortened match Friday at Bradford, Pa. That was on the heels of a 7-2 home win Thursday over D'Youville.
Fredonia won four of the six singles matches and one doubles match Saturday vs. Medaille. Singles winners were junior
Chloe Cohen (West Hempstead, N.Y.), junior
Halee Dickinson (Brockport, N.Y.), sophomore
Chloe Karnisky (Canandaigua, N.Y.), and freshman
Christine Thomas (Ransomville, N.Y.). Karnisky teamed with freshman
Olivia Miller (Springwater, N.Y.) for the doubles win.
The truncated win at Pitt-Bradford on Friday featured singles wins by Miller, freshman
Julia Taboni (Depew, N.Y.), and junior
Phoebe Langdon (Syracuse, N.Y.), and doubles wins by the tandems of Cohen and Dickinson, and Thomas and senior
Jessica Young (Port Allegany, Pa.).
The Blue Devils close out their regular season at home Tuesday vs. Alfred University before heading to SUNYAC Tournament play next Friday afternoon vs. New Paltz at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
