Alexis Moreland (Newfane, N.Y.) scored for Fredonia, her team-high eighth of the season.
Kendall Owczarzak (Depew, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the Blue Devil goal.
The loss dropped the Blue Devils to 4-12-1 overall and 2-6-1 SUNYAC. Earlier in the day, Oswego claimed the sixth and final SUNYAC Tournament berth -- ahead of the Blue Devils -- with a 2-1 win over Cortland.
After a scoreless first half, Lipshie's first goal put the Hawks (3-11-3, 3-4-3 SUNYAC) on top, 1-0, before Moreland evened the score, 1-1, after gathering the ball off a deflected shot by
Kaleigh Creeden (Rock Tavern, N.Y.). Kristina Gandolfo sent Lipshie into the space for a breakaway goal to break the tie.
