ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Fredonia finds itself part of three-way tie for the sixth and final SUNYAC playoff spot heading into Saturday's final conference games.

The Blue Devils -- beaten 7-0 on Friday at Oneonta -- close out their conference season Saturday at New Paltz in a tie with Potsdam and Oswego. Potsdam got there with a 1-0 victory Friday over Brockport and will face Geneseo on Saturday. Oswego was idle Friday heading into its season finale vs. Cortland.

Fredonia could have clinched the sixth berth with a win Friday over Oneonta, but were no match for the Red Dragons, who improved to 11-2-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the SUNYAC. The loss dropped the Blue Devils to 4-11-1 and 2-5-1.
