FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Five different players scored goals as Cortland rolled over Fredonia, 5-1, in SUNYAC men's soccer Saturday at University Stadium.
The Red Dragons (7-4-2 overall / 3-2-1 SUNYAC) broke a 1-1 tie in the 60th minute on an unassisted goal by Robby Reiser. Daniel Friend scored the first Cortland goal while Tyler Kirschner, Andre Brown, and Billy Walsh added insurance goals.
Bryan Sibble (Liverpool, N.Y.) scored the lone Fredonia goal, a short chip into a vacated net in the 57th minute.
Mohamed Hussein (Buffalo, N.Y.) set up Sibble -- it was his second goal of the season -- with a cross from the right of the box.
Cortland goalkeeper Joe Brandofino made four saves while Fredonia freshman
Noah Voss (Fredonia, N.Y.) made six saves in only his third collegiate game, two of them starts.
The loss dropped the Blue Devils to 2-9-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the SUNYAC heading into their North Country trip next weekend -- Friday at Plattsburgh, Saturday at Potsdam.
