FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia sophomore
Chloe Cohen (West Hempstead, N.Y./West Hempstead) earned her team's lone point Saturday in the Blue Devils' 8-1 SUNYAC women's tennis loss to Oswego.
Cohen improved to 4-2 in singles competition this seaon with a 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 victory over Kelsey Wilson at No. 3 singles. Cohen and doubles partner, sophomore
Halee Dickinson (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport), were defeated 8-4 in their No. 2 match.
The next-closest singles victory for Fredonia was the 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 loss by sophomore
Samantha Pedneault (East Moriches, N.Y./Sachem North) in the No. 2 match.
The loss dropped Fredonia to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the SUNYAC. The Blue Devils are back in action Tuesday at Alfred University, then meet D'Youville at 6 p.m. Wednesday in a rescheduled match on the Steele Hall courts.
